Ordering and agreement process

Your order is binding once it has been registered with us on our server through the ordering process. We are obliged and bound by your order, provided that it does not deviate from our offers, prices or marketing, or is otherwise used improperly. You have the right to withdraw from your obligations in accordance with the Right of Withdrawal Act.

On receipt of your order, we confirm it automatically and send you an order confirmation. Please read the order confirmation carefully to make sure that it corresponds to your order. Any discrepancy between your order and the order confirmation is regarded as a new offer from us, which you may accept or decline. You nevertheless have the right to assert your original order, provided that it corresponds to what we have offered. You will receive a receipt when the goods are shipped, either automatically or enclosed in the parcel, depending on the payment method.

Information given in the online store

It will always be our aim that all information we provide is correct and corresponds to the actual circumstances. However, we must reserve the right to correct spelling errors, typographical errors and incorrect pricing. In the most extreme case, this may mean that we cannot deliver in accordance with the information given in the online store, in marketing or otherwise.

We also reserve the right to cancel your order, or parts of it, if the product is sold out. If an item is sold out, you will be notified of this, where relevant together with information about what we can offer instead. You will then have the opportunity to accept our new offer with the changes we specify in relation to your order, or to cancel the order.

Prices

All prices include value added tax and any environmental fee. The total cost of the purchase is shown before the order is placed and includes all expenses associated with the purchase, such as postage, shipping, packaging and so on.

Payment

The purchase price may, at your own choice, be settled through the available payment methods (such as debit or credit card, or others where offered). When a card is used, the purchase price is reserved on the card when the order is placed.

If you do not collect the parcel and otherwise remain entirely passive, this gives us no indication of why the parcel has not been collected. You will then not have fulfilled the requirements placed on you under the Right of Withdrawal Act § 11 and § 13, and you therefore lose the right to withdraw from the agreement. You will then be charged for shipping costs both ways and a fee of NOK 250 for the administrative work.

In the event of non-payment, the claim will be sent to debt collection following prior notice. Cancellation means that the amount we have reserved is released. Please note that neither the reservation nor the release of the reservation will appear on your account statement. If a reservation cannot be made, we reserve the right to cancel the order.

We use payment providers that deliver safe, secure and stable solutions. We use the 3D Secure and SSL security standards. The payment pages are encrypted and secured, so that no one can see your card details – not even us during the transaction.

The seller retains a sales lien on the delivered goods until the purchase price, with the addition of interest and costs, has been paid in full (cf. the Norwegian Liens Act § 3-14 and § 3-22).

Delivery and delay

Delivery of the products takes place in the manner described in the terms for shipping and returns. We bear the risk for the products until they are taken over by you, that is, when you have the products in your possession.

If delivery of the products is delayed, we will inform you as soon as we become aware of it, together with information about whether and when delivery can take place, or whether the product(s) are sold out. Depending on the nature of the products and the length of the delay, you may, according to the circumstances, demand to cancel the agreement.

We also reserve the right to refuse delivery of any goods on the basis of price fluctuations and the stock situation. All delivery times stated by us must be regarded as indicative. Delivery time means the estimated time of arrival at the customer. Where time is stated in a number of days, this means working days (Monday–Friday).

Inspection of the products

After you have received the products, you should inspect as soon as possible whether the delivery corresponds to the order confirmation. Check whether the products have been damaged during transport, or whether the products otherwise have defects or deficiencies.

Your rights in the event of defects (complaints)

If the products have defects or deficiencies, the consumer must, within a reasonable time after discovering or after they ought to have discovered the defect, notify us that they wish to invoke the defect (complaint). You nevertheless always have at least two months in which to complain under the Consumer Purchases Act.

The right to complain applies for two years after you took over the product, or five years if the product is intended to last significantly longer than two years. The right to complain applies in addition to the right of withdrawal. If the consumer does not complain in time, the right to invoke the defect is lost. A defect that appears within six months after the consumer took over the goods (normally the time of delivery) is presumed to have existed at the time the risk passed.

Notification of defects and deficiencies in the products may be given to us orally or in writing. For reasons of evidence, we recommend that the complaint is sent to us in writing.

If there is a defect in the goods and the consumer has complained within the deadlines stated above, the consumer may invoke the following remedies:

  • Withhold the purchase price
  • Under certain conditions, choose between repair and replacement
  • Demand cancellation of the purchase if the defect is not insignificant (requires that the goods are in the same condition and quantity, cf. the Consumer Purchases Act § 51)
  • Claim compensation

If the seller's repair or replacement means that the consumer is prevented from using the goods for more than one week (from the time the product is checked in with us), the consumer has, under certain conditions, the right to demand a replacement item at the seller's expense. As a general rule, we are not entitled to make more than two attempts at repair or replacement of the same defect.

If there is no defect, skiibox.no may only charge for the examinations that were necessary to determine whether a defect exists, and for repair of the goods, provided that the seller has expressly made the consumer aware that they must cover such costs themselves.

If the customer, on their own initiative, wishes to take measures to remedy the defect beyond what has been agreed with us, we do not cover these costs.

Warranty

Our warranties do not limit the complaint deadlines for goods under the Consumer Purchases Act. Unless otherwise stated, you always have a 2-year warranty on products you buy from SKiiBOX. The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects.

A receipt for the purchase or other valid proof of purchase must accompany any complaint or warranty case. The warranty does not cover faults caused by the goods not being used in accordance with the instructions for use, by exposure to abnormal use or neglect, by electrical surges from lightning, or by the goods having been rebuilt or modified.
